Our upcoming CPD events are listed below:

SPOT on DD Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Tuesday 19 September 2017, 6pm-8pm

University of Sydney, Cumberland Campus, Room T109
The AGM is an important annual event for SPOT on DD members to hear an update from the President & Treasurer regarding SPOT on DD’s operations. There will also be an opportunity for members to vote for or join the SPOT on DD committee. 

Guest speaker: Therapy in the NDIS in the Hunter – Beth Gwalter, RecoveryStation

Beth is an occupational therapist and the managing director of a multidisciplinary therapy practice that engages with a range of funding programs including the NDIS. She will speak about her experience working in the NDIS in the Hunter.

Navigating equipment prescription through the NDIS forum – Registrations have now closed.

Meet experienced equipment prescribers and managers who will provide insight into the equipment prescription process in the NDIS world. There will be opportunities to discuss case studies and ask questions.
This forum is suitable for all therapists who prescribe equipment (e.g. wheelchairs, AAC, standing frame, vehicle modifications) or other professionals that want to understand the equipment prescription process for their clients.

Preschool children & ASD: The whole picture of sensory based interventions (webinar) – Registrations have now closed.
Tuesday 2 May 2017, 6:30pm-7:30pm
Presented by Dr Kim Bulkeley
Kim will share some of the insights she has gained about the current state of the research on sensory interventions for young children with autism. She will provide an overview of her thesis literature review.
This webinar is suitable for therapists and others who work with young children with sensory processing difficulties.
